Give it time! Our suggestion is to use our inserts for 12-24 hours to give them time to absorb as much moisture and odor as possible. However, they keep on working for as long as you let them, and the longer you wait the better the results. Remember, you can recharge them periodically by placing them in the sun for a couple hours to keep them working as hard as possible.

Sunlight recharges bamboo charcoal through the action of ultraviolet (UV) rays. Here's how it works: UV Rays Penetration: When bamboo charcoal is exposed to sunlight, the UV rays penetrate the charcoal's surface. Decomposition of Adsorbed Compounds: The UV rays help break down and decompose the impurities and odor-causing compounds that have been adsorbed (trapped) in the pores of the bamboo charcoal. Evaporation: As the impurities decompose, they are released from the charcoal and evaporate into the air, leaving the charcoal's pores clean and ready to absorb new impurities. This process refreshes the bamboo charcoal, allowing it to continue effectively absorbing odors, moisture, and other impurities from the air. We suggest recharging our products for 2 hours every 1-2 months.
